Zafar, Mudassar elected as top PNF officials

KARACHI: Zafar Iqbal Awan was elected as chairman while Mudassar Arain was elected as president of the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) for the next four years in the federation’s elective general council held here at Mehran Hotel recently.

Shehryar Ali, Mohammad Riaz and Syed Tauqeer Ahmed were elected as senior vice-president, secretary general and treasurer, respectively.

The PNF polls were conducted by the election commission headed by Javed Yousuf Qamar along with member Touseef Alam.

Pakistan Sports Board representative Mukimuddin Mangrio (director) also attended the election meeting which also featured the representatives of all PNF affiliated units including Army, PAF, Police, Wapda, Balochistan, Sindh KP, Punjab, Fata, Islamabad, Pakistan Women Netball Assoc­iation, National Umpiring Association, National Coaching Association and Athletics Commission.

The house also approved the activity reports, audited accounts statement, next year’s expected budget and amendments in the constitution.
