KARACHI: A young man associated with the Tableeghi Jamaat was shot dead by armed motorcyclists in F. B Industrial Area on Friday evening, police said.

F. B Industrial Area SHO Naeem Khan told Dawn that Mohammed Adeel, 35, a mechanic, was riding a motorcycle through Shafiq Mor opposite an Edhi Centre with his friend Asad.

Two gunmen on a motorcycle came close to their motorbike and attacked Adeel, the SHO said quoting his friend.

The victim sustained critical wounds and was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
