LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid has announced support for Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf candidate Abdul Aleem Khan in NA-122.

PML-Q Punjab Secretary General Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said on Tuesday that Oct 11 would be a day of victory for the PTI. He said on the direction of party leaders, party’s office-bearers and workers were participating in the election campaign and the PML-Q would play its role in the success of PTI candidate in NA-122.

PML Punjab senior vice-president Mian Abdul Sattar, Rana Riaz, Sajjad Baloch and Arshad Bokhari were also present in the meeting with Aleem Khan.

Meanwhile, the PPP has decided to hold an election rally at Garhi Shahu on Thursday (tomorrow).

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah, Manzoor Wattoo, Aitzaz Ehsan, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Sherry Rehman will address the rally.

The party has decided to hold a ‘big’ rally to back its candidates -- Barrister Aamir Hasan for NA-122 and Iftikhar Shahid for PP-147.
