ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has increased duty drawback rates on export of leather products.
An SRO 923 issued on Tuesday stated that the duty drawback rate was revised to 1.06pc of the freight on board (FOB) value from 0.80pc on export of goat or sheep or kangaroo skin; from 1.17pc to 2.12pc of the FOB value on export of cow or buffalo or camel hide; and from 2.12pc to 2.43pc of the FOB value on export of cow or buffalo hide in finished form for furniture or upholstery leather (thickness 2.5mm up to 5mm).
