LAHORE: Pakistan Rangers and the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have agreed to stop shelling along the Working Boundary, check smuggling and ensure expeditious repatriation of people who cross the border inadvertently.
Maj Gen Umar Farooq Burki, the Director General of Rangers (Punjab), returned to Lahore from New Delhi via Wagah on Saturday after a three-day bi-annual meeting with his Indian counterpart. A Rangers spokesman said both sides had agreed to strengthen the dialogue process and resolve border management issues bilaterally.
