BAHAWALPUR: The Bahawalpur Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Friday announced results of the annual intermediate examination 2015.

The overall top position was secured by Iraj Siddique of Punjab College for Women, Rahim Yar Khan, by achieving 1,031 marks. The second position was shared by Khadija Mohab Khan of the Government College for Women, Bahawalnagar; Zaid Mazhar of Punjab College, Chishtian; and Asad Ali of Punjab College, Rahim Yar Khan with 1,030 marks each. Fatima Nisar of Punjab College, Chishtian secured 1,029 marks and stood third.

According to results announced by Gujranwala BISE Chairman Prof Muhammad Aslam Shekhu, 118,564 candidates sat the examination out of which 62,984 were declared successful showing pass percentage of 53.12pc. Controller of Examination Dr Tanveer Zafar said Komal Arif from the Punjab College secured the overall first position with 1,045 marks. Muhammad Sharjeel of Murray College, Sialkot stood second with 1,041 marks and Laraib Khalid of Punjab College third with 1,038 marks.

According to the result announced by Toba Tek Singh BISE, Jinnah College for Women Gojra’s Fatima Hamza stood first in pre-medical group by securing 1,041 marks and also first in the overall result.

The Sargodha BISE declared pass percentage of 59pc with 37,079 candidates sitting the exam and 21,728 clearing it. The overall top position was bagged by Muhammad Haris Ashraf of ILM College for Boys, Sargodha with 1,040 marks. Ayesha Ghani of ILM College of Commerce For Women, Sargodha stood second with 1,030 and the third position was bagged by Aqsa Asif of Punjab College for Women with 1,028 marks.

According to the Dera Ghazi Khan BISE, the overall top position was clinched by Baran Shafqat of Postgradute College, Muzaffargarh by securing 1,060 marks. The second position went to Saqib Ameen of Punjab Public Higher Secondary School, Muzffargarh with 1,046 marks, while the third position was shared by Noor Fatima of Punjab College Layyah girls wing and Mashahida Fatima of Government College for Women, Dera Ghazi Khan by obtaining 1,040 marks.
