MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to pay a daylong visit to the Bagh district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday to perform the ‘soft inauguration’ of some reconstruction-related projects.

He would also preside over the budget session of the AJK Council which would be held in Bagh. The prime minister is the chairman of the AJK Council, an institution created under AJK’s Interim Constitution Act 1974.

Though the fiscal year 2015-16 has begun on July 1, the Council budget was presented by its in-charge minister Barjees Tahir on August 30 at its secretariat in Islamabad.
