ISALMABAD: Top-ranked Aqeel Khan led a flurry of seeded players into the second round of the Fauji Fertilzer Company Open National Ranking Tennis Championship on Tuesday.

On the second day of the championship, being played simultaneously Pakistan Sports Complex and PTF Tennis Complex, a total of 46 matches were played in three categories.

Aqeel led the way in the men’s singles event, cruising past Wakeel Khan 6-3, 6-2.

There was an upset in the boys’ under-18 category, though, when top seed Barkatullah was toppled in 6-4, 6-4 by Yousaf Khan.
