A police official at the Paharipura police station told Dawn that the incident took place in Chughalpura locality of the city wherein a monetary dispute led to exchange of fire and death of three people.

One of the complainants Mohabat Shah, a resident of Atamnzai, told police that Arshad, a local milkman in Chughalpura, owed him Rs120,000. He said that he along with his nephew Shah Fahad son of Syed Wazir, Hamid son of Mumtaz, and Behr Karam, son of Azmat, visited Arshad to demand his money.
