RECENTLY many raids have been conducted on restaurants, fast food outlets and hospitals by different authorities with the aim of improving the quality of services they provide.
As a result, many places have been fined and sealed. The aim of these raids is no doubt to improve services. But the concern here is the way these raids are being carried. Was prior information provided to the eateries regarding minimum standards?
Was any initial inspection done for these places and shortfalls communicated before imposing fines and sealing them? I guess the Punjab government is missing the ethics.
Eateries are being sealed but no prior standards are being provided to them.
