KARACHI: Two traffic police personnel were shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the metropolis Sunday night, police said.
According to the office of Sindh Police Inspector General, the deceased were identified as constables Muhammad Sher and Nizam Din.
They were attacked by unidentified armed men near the Sunday Bazaar at the Main University Road.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The police have started investigations into the incident.

Very sad.
Policemen have become the preferred target of terrorists and target killers. Yet some people still oppose the operation by Rangers. Pity the thinking of such people.

Very sad to see innocent Traffic cops being gunned down. IG Police Sir please take care of the poor families and orphans they have left behind.

Rangers and all other law enforcement agencies should come down even harder on such murderous elements. After they are arrested, their cases should be sent immediately to military courts for speedy justice.

Traffic police is the biggest corruption mafia it has nothing to do with any party, its a personal enmity case, ever come in their grip you will feel as though they run the affairs, so you reap what you sow.
