QUETTA: Sardar Akhtar Mengal, the Chief of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal), held a meeting with Balochistan’s former governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi on Friday night.

Nawabzada Mir Khalid Magsi, MNA, Nawabzada Tariq Hussain Magsi, BNP-Mengal Senator Dr Jahanzeb Jama­ldani and former MPA Akbar Mengal were also present on the occasion.

Party sources said that both leaders discussed various issues pertaining to Balochistan and the overall political situation in the country. They decided to keep a close liaison and promote cooperation in future.

It was observed that a close liaison and cooperation was need of the time and a joint struggle was also needed to protect resources of the province.

They also decided that in the present situation it was the responsibility of the leadership to evolve a joint strategy to fight against the exploiting mindset and protect rights of the people of Balochistan through joint political struggle.­
