VVIP culture

Published August 29, 2015

THIS refers to the letter ‘VVIPs lifestyle’ (Aug 22). I endorse the views of Wg-Cdr Mushtaq Ahmed and would like to add the luxurious lifestyle of our ruling elite is also a violation of the fundamental rights of taxpayers and underprivileged.

As the apex court has declared this issue to be within the government’s domain, I, as a taxpayer, would like to know the steps taken by the government to address this important issue given the fact that the PML-N had promised to the people during the 2013 election campaign to end the VIP culture.

Will the federal minister for information take notice of this situation and share the initiatives taken by his government in this regard?
