Freaky helmets!

THESE hyper-realistic human head helmets are digitally designed by Dubai-based artist Jyo John Mullor. He explains on his website: “All my life I have always been a passionate motorcyclist. I love everything about motor biking but the helmets.

The most uncomfortable gear you could ever wear.”

However, he acknowledges, that helmet could one day save his life. So, Jyo began Project Human Helmet. He set about designing a crash helmet that would feel — and look — just like a second skin.

He hopes his protective scalps will one day make it from the design studio and onto the road.

“Although the reason behind the design was totally personal, it later turned into a design project that received appreciations from around the globe,” he writes.

Tuk-tuks in the US!

THEY’RE found all over in Asia. Now, a company that manufactures the tuk-tuk aims to make progress in the United States. The Tuk Tuk factory based in Amsterdam, Holland, has signed a licensing agreement with Denver-based eTuk USA. The deal will allow the company to manufacture and sell an electric version of the vehicle.

The Colorado Company’s founders hope the eco-friendly vehicles will become the next hip mode of transportation. The company wants to sell them to city dwellers and tourists across the country. It’s too soon to know if Americans will embrace tuk-tuks. The cost of the vehicle that is between $16,950 and $25,000, have been sold so far to individuals, marketing companies and food vendors.
