CDA allottees

Published August 5, 2015

THIS is an appeal to the federal government, the minister of interior, the CDA chairman and the Supreme Court of Pakistan to intervene on behalf of unfortunate allottees of the CDA balloting held in 1989.

In 1989, the CDA offered plots to the public through balloting in Sector E12, and successful applicants were issued allotment letters. Even after 26 years, these applicants who have paid all installments demanded by the CDA are still waiting for possession.

This gross injustice violates constitutional rights of these citizens and is an act unbecoming of an organisation that is a statutory body.

Unfortunately, the CDA has become hostage to the greed of its employees, pressure groups and land mafia. Will somebody kindly intervene?
