TIMERGARA: Haj trainers at a training workshop on Sunday asked the intending pilgrims to strictly observe the Saudi laws during their stay at Makkah and Madina and behave like responsible citizens.

The Pakistan Haj Training Council, Lower Dir chapter, arranged the training workshop at the Rest House ground here, which was attended by more than 1,000 male and female Haj intenders from different parts of the district and Bajaur Agency.

The council chairman Amir Azam Khan and vice chairman Maulana Sher Alam Khan were among the trainers. They informed the participants about the requirements for performing Haj and Umra and Saudi laws.

The trainers through maps and charts also imparted information to the participants about the geography of Makkah and Madina cities and other places the pilgrims had to visit during their pilgrimage.

They were also given booklets and pamphlets containing information about prayers, Manasik-i-Haj and Saudi laws.

Later, talking to this reporter, Azam Khan said the Haj training council had been arranging such trainings free of cost for intending pilgrims every year. He said the arrangements were made from donations by the council members.

TRAINING WORKSHOP: A 15-day training workshop jointly organised by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and plaster surgery department of the Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar, on burn trauma and its complications concluded here on Sunday.

Held at the district headquarters hospital, Timergara, the workshop was attended by senior physicians from Upper Dir, Bajaur Agency, Batkhela, Chakdara, Timergara, Samar Bagh and Maidan.
