RAWALPINDI: Two persons were injured in a gas leak fire in a house at Model Colony and were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Saturday.

The fire broke out when the female member of the family tried to burn her stove.

Nazakat Bibi, 45, and her husband Muhammad Bashir 50, received burn injuries.

Due to traffic jams, the Rescue 1122 arrived late for 10 minutes but the condition of the victims was stated to be stable.

“The Nazakat got her hands and feet burnt as she tried to extinguish the fire while Bashir received minor injuries,” said an official of Rescue 1122.

He said Pims was nearer than other hospitals in the garrison city and the victims were shifted there.
