LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority on Friday sealed Allama Iqbal Medical College cafeteria and imposed a heavy fine on the Jinnah Hospital canteen contractor for poor cleanliness, hygiene and food handling standards.

According to a press release, the PFA team, led by Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz, sealed the college’s cafeteria for poor cleanliness and hygiene issues.

Similarly, the team imposed fine on Jinnah Hospital’s canteen for lack of cleanliness. It also sealed Alhamd Restaurant for extraordinary insufficient cleanliness and hygiene issues.

Shalimar Town sealed NFC Restaurant, Mansha Tikka Shop, Butt Pakori and Ghausia Food Traders at Tokaywala Chowk, Gol Bagh (Shadbagh) and on Amir Road.

PFA Iqbal Town team sealed Lahore Broast, Multan Road branch, whereas Ravi Town team sealed Sawat Khyber Hotel and Mahmood Chargha at Timber Market. It also imposed fine on Haq Hotel in the same area.

Samanabad team sealed Lahore Broast on Wahdat Road and Butt Tikka Shop in Rehmanpura. It also sealed Fazal-i-Haq Restaurant on Wahdat Road.

Data Ganj Bakhsh team sealed Jhirki Milk Shop on Temple Road and Meat-Ex in Islampura (Abdali Road).

Aziz Bhatti, Wagah and Nishtar Town teams imposed fine on Cakes and Bakes on the Infantry Road and Junaid Restaurant at Kamahan Chowk.
