Arms licences

Published August 1, 2015

SOME time in 2013, the Sindh government decided to issue computerised arms licences. In pursuance of this decision, the arms licence centre had asked the arms licence holders to apply for the computerised arms licences after paying Rs1,000.

I applied for the same and was given tracking ID No. 78141040431 on Nov 28, 2013. Since then, considerable time has elapsed, and I have sent numerous reminders but I have yet to get the computerised arms licence.

Informal inquiries have revealed that the work relating to the issuance of computerised arms licences is at a standstill. Thousands of applications have piled up at the arms issuance centre.

Will the Sindh home department look into the matter?
