MIRPURKHAS: Girls clinched all three top positions in science group in the annual examination, 2015, of SSC Part-II (class -X) held under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Mirpurkhas, according to results announced here on Friday.

In the science group, Bareera Rabbani of Fauji Foundation Model School secured the first position by obtaining 768 marks, Arisha Malook of Pakistan Rangers Public School and College, Khipro, achieved the second by gaining 766 marks and Monika Bai of Government Girls High School Gharibabad, Umerkot, obtained third position by securing 763 marks.

A total of 29,727 candidates were enrolled in science group and 29,697 appeared in exams. Of them 1,904 were placed in A-1, 6,578 in A, 9,601 in B, 6,190 made it to in grade C and 780 candidates managed to pass in grade D, while 4,432 candidates failed.

In general group, Ms Zainab of Government Higher Secondary School, Sanghar, secured first by getting 612 marks, Sohail Ahmed of Government Higher Secondary School, Umerkot, clinched the second by getting 606 marks and Abdul Haleem of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Naukot, achieved the third by securing 605 marks.

A total of 920 candidates were enrolled and of them 908 appeared in exams. Only 20 candidates were placed in grade A, 369 in B, 359 in C and 37 in grade D while 76 candidates failed.

In oriental group, a total of 42 candidates were enrolled while 41 appeared in exams. Eleven candidates were placed in grade B, 24 in C, one candidate was placed in grade D.
