QUETTA: Several suspected militants were killed or injured during a search operation in Mashkay area of Awaran district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that Frontier Corps troops along with personnel of intelligence agencies had conducted a search operation in Mashkay.

“Many suspected militants belonging to a banned militant organisation have been killed and injured in the gunbattle between security forces and militants,” a senior security official claimed.

Similar search operations were carried out in Mastung and Rabi Canal areas of Nasirabad and three suspected militants were picked up.
