ISLAMABAD: Supermodel Ayyan Ali’s indictment in currency smuggling case was deferred again due to unavailability of the special judge customs, excise and taxation court of Rawalpindi.
As the judge was on leave, Ayyan was produced before duty judge Sabir Sultan who adjourned the case till August 21.
While talking to mediapersons, Ayyan requested them not to make her case controversial.
Ayyan Ali was released on July 16 on bail from Adiala jail after spending four months there.
She was arrested from the Islamabad airport on March 14 by customs officials while she was allegedly trying to smuggle $500,000 to Dubai.
