LAKKI MARWAT: The local police claimed to have arrested four dreaded outlaws during a search and strike operation in different parts of the district on Monday.

A police official said the operation was simultaneously launched in the limits of Ghaznikhel, Tajori and Shaheed Haibat Ali Khan (Darra Pezu) police stations. 

Led by DPO Ali Akbar Shah policemen with the help of commandos of Anti-Terror Squad and Elite Force also eliminated hideouts of criminals,” he maintained.

The official said the law-enforcers captured four wanted criminals identified as Rasool Khan, Attaullah, Munawar Khan and Aadil, and shifted them to the concerned police stations.  “The arrested criminals were wanted by police in cases of heinous nature,” he added.

TEACHERS SEEK UPGRADATION: The district chapter of all primary teachers association has demanded of the government to give grade 16 to the teachers promoted to the posts of certified teachers.

The demand was made at a meeting in Tajazai on Monday chaired by Apta’s district president Haji Abdul Rahim. Apta’s provincial vice-president Shafiq Ahmad, district general secretary Mohammad Ibrahim and other office-bearers were in attendance.

The participants hailed the promotions of teachers and said it would improve performance of local education department. “The promoted teachers will ensure imparting quality education to students,” they maintained.

The teachers thanked the district education officer and other relevant officials for promoting teachers. On the occasion, Mr Rahim said the head teachers of primary schools, who had been promoted to the posts of CT, should be given BPS-16 as they deserved it.
