KARACHI: Pakistan Test paceman Junaid Khan is set to play for English county side Middlesex.

The left-arm speedster is expected to play for 2015 Royal London One-Day Cup and feature against Lancashire on July 29 at Blackpool, according to a report on Friday.

The Swabi-born cricketer -- due to dip in form -- was not considered for selection for Pakistan’s ongoing tour of Sri Lanka.

Junaid, 25, last played in England for Lancashire in 2014 where he took 19 wickets in 10 Natwest T20 Blast matches with best figures of 4-12 and was instrumental in his side’s advance to the final of that competition.

Apart from his pivotal role in Lancashire’s success during his stint in 2014, Junaid also proved to be very popular with Lancashire fans.

Since his arrival at international stage in 2011, Junaid has so far played 52 One-day Internationals, taking an impressive 78 wickets at an average of 25.72 at an economy rate of just above five. In 22 Tests, the pacer has grabbed 71 scalps averaging 31.73.

Junaid has represented Pakistan in nine T20 Internationals, taking eight wickets at an average of 29.50.
