It's a birthday treat for Naseeruddin Shah, his admirers, and fans of music maestro Shafqat Amanat Ali.

The musician has released a teaser video for the upcoming single from his album Mun Dikhai, 'Dil Dharaknay Ka Sabab'.

The classic ghazal not only pays homage to Shafqat's father, Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, who once composed the ghazal, but is also a celebration of the legacy of Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who is the video's star attraction. The teaser release coincides with Shah's 65th birthday today.

Penned by renowned poet Nasir Kazmi, the old ghazal's composition by Ustad Amanat was never recorded, which inspired Shafqat to do the same. However, Shafqat's rendition is a stripped-down version of the original, featuring sounds of only the piano, cello and oboe.

The music video has been shot by Manu Anand, the cinematographer for Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Fan. It will be released later in the month.
