HYDERABAD: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad announced the results of annual examinations 2015 of secondary school certificate (SSC) part-II (Class-X) science and general groups on Thursday.

Girls belonging to private schools clinched all top three positions in science group, while male students of government schools secured all top three positions in general group in the annual examinations 2015 of SSC Part-II (Class-X) in ten districts of the province falling within the jurisdiction of the board.

The districts are Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Dadu, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Thatta and Sujawal.

Romaisa, student of Eva’s Academy H/S B-2 Muslim Housing Society, Qasimabad, Hyderabad, obtained the first position and got 774 out of total 850 marks in the science group.

The second position went to Nitasha, student of Community Based Higher Secondary School Tando Bago and she got 763 marks. Aqsa won the third position with 758 marks.

The total percentage of successful candidates remained 86.9, however male candidates achieved 84.96pc and females secured 90.23pc on the whole.

A total of 54,076 candidates — 33,396 boys and 20,680 girls — passed their examinations while 62,445 candidates, including 39,428 boys and 23,017 girls were enrolled with the board of Hyderabad for annual examinations.

A total of 62,229 candidates appeared in the examinations and 216 candidates remained absent.

Moreover, 3,574 candidates, including 1,471 boys and 2,103 girls got Grade A-1; 15,396 candidates, including 8,401 boys and 6,995 girls, obtained Grade A; 19,396 candidates, including 12,160 boys and 7,236 girls, got Grade B; 13,136 candidates, including 9,358 boys and 3,778 girls, secured Grade C; 2,547 candidates, including 1,981 boys and 566 girls, got Grade D and another 12 candidates, including 11 boys and one girl, clinched Grade E.

General group

Meanwhile, Qadir Bux, student of Government High School 60 Mills, got first position by securing 667 out of total 850 marks in annual examinations 2015 of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-II (Class-X) general group.

Zubair Adil, student of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Chamber Via Tando Allahyar, clinched second position with 664 marks, while third position went to Ali Raza, student of Government Higher Secondary School Halepota Via Phuleli Hyderabad, who got 662 marks.

The total pass percentage remained 85.62pc while male and female pass percentages remained 86.94pc and 82.32pc, respectively.

A total of 2,424 candidates, including boys and girls, were successful in their annual examinations.

A total of 2,877 candidates, including 2,060 boys and 817 girls, were enrolled with the board.

A total of 2,831 candidates — 2,022 boys and 809 girls — appeared in the examinations. A totol of 46 candidates, including 38 boys and eight girls were absent. No candidate got Grade A-I.

A total of 221 candidates secured Grade A; 967 candidates got Grade B; 922 candidates obtained Grade C; 308 candidates got Grade D and six candidates got Grade E.
