LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered setting up of a sub-committee with regard to Knowledge Park.

The sub-committee will submit its report after reviewing all matters regarding the project after Eidul Fitr.

The instruction was issued here on Sunday during a meeting on Knowledge Park, a project to be set up in the provincial metropolis comprising campuses of prominent local and foreign educational institutions.

Being billed as a unique project in the country, the Knowledge Park will have all facilities under one roof.

Local and foreign students will be allowed to get education in the educational institutions housed in the park, where residential, recreational and other facilities for teachers and students will be available.

The chief minister said the project has to be furthered without wasting any time as the problems like terrorism, extremism, poverty and unemployment will be overcome through promotion of education.

Meanwhile, Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafiq called on the chief minister here and discussed various issues between the railways and the Punjab government.
