Following 'Jogi' and 'Jhoolay Laal' on Coke Studio Season 7 last year, Fariha Pervez has returned with a poignant rendition of ‘Makkay Gayyan’, the legendary kalaam of sufi Bulle Shah.
The famous kalaam of Bulle Shah, which is about finding the ‘ultimate’, points towards all those who are pretentious when it comes to faith.

Bulleh Shah gal taiyon mukdi
Jadoon main noo Dillon mukaiy
Fariha, who made a comeback at Coke Studio, released this rendition after almost a year. Although out of the music scene she is still remembered for her popular song 'Patang Ba Sajna Se'.

Fariha co-hosted and also sang in "Firdous e Gosh"
music program on PTV recently. It has stopped since
the beginning of Ramzan. She didn't disappear.

Fariha has sang it as beautifully, as Bulleh Shah has said it.

What can be a better experience than hearing 'Kalam' of 'Bullay Shah' and in voice of 'Fareeha G'. Truly melodious!

A little unknown vignette to my fellow Punjabis is that Bulleh Shah was very close to the Sikh way of life.
