LAHORE: A suspected robber was killed in crossfire with Johar Town police while his two “accomplices” escaped in early hours on Sunday.

Police signaled three men riding on two motorcycles to halt at a picket near a private hospital in Johar Town.

The motorcyclists opened fire on police which was retaliated. During the crossfire, one of the motorcyclists was killed while the two others managed to escape.

Police took the body into custody and shifted it to morgue for identification. Police also impounded the motorcycle.
