LAHORE: Police on Saturday launched a search operation in Raiwind and arrested 20 suspects.

The Sadar Division police took action after receiving reports from security agencies about the possible terror attacks.

Police checked different train coaches parked at Raiwind station and acquired the identification of the people residing there.

“We have taken some 20 suspects into custody from around the Raiwind city for not having identification papers. Most of them are Afghans,” Saddar Division SP Zahid Nawaz Marwat told Dawn.

“The operation is under way and the suspects are being interrogated,” he added.
