MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government on Friday suspended another 94 primary and junior teachers for showing zero per cent result in grade five and eight exams 2014-15 conducted by District Elementary Board, Muzaffarabad.

Apart from suspension, initiation of disciplinary action against the suspended teachers – 24 male and 70 female – has also been ordered under the Removal from Service (Special Powers) Act, 2001.

According to a notification, Raja Mohammad Naseer Khan, Principal Boys Elementary College Muzaffarabad and Tasneem Gul, Principal Saheli Sarkar Girls Higher Secondary School Muzaffarabad, have been appointed inquiry officers for male and female teachers respectively.

They have been asked to present their report to Secretary Education within two weeks.

It may be recalled that on Thursday 72 teachers in district Poonch and prior to that 21 teachers in district Bagh have also met the same fate.
