ISLAMABAD: Members of the Special Senate Committee on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) expressed dissatisfaction over a briefing by Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal about the project.
At a meeting held here on Thursday, the minister briefed the members about the project. But, the members remained unimpressed with what they called limited details presented by the minister and called for a comprehensive briefing in the next meeting.
Chairman of the committee Senator Taj Haider said that under-developed areas should be given priority in the project for their economic development.
The minister reiterated that Balochistan would be major beneficiary of the CPEC.
