MURREE: The residents of Kashmiri Bazaar and adjoining localities blocked the Bhurban road for about three hours in protest against power breakdown on Tuesday.

Due to a fault in the generator, power supply remained suspended to Kashmiri Bazaar and its adjoining areas on Bhurbhan road.

The protesters said for the last four days they were without electricity and despite repeated complaints the Iesco officials failed to repair the transformer.

Raja Saqib Shaukat, Nambardar Ansar Ali Abbasi, Raja Shehzad and other protesters said if the transformer was not replaced to restore the power supply soon, they would again block the road.

Despite repeated attempts, Iesco officials concerned could not be contacted for comments.
