Is he covering up his embarrassment or is he genuinely remorseless? Either way, Salman Khan hasn't lost many fans, if scenes from the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards in Dubai are to be believed.

When Khan handed over the award for best debut director to Sajid Nadiadwala, the director said making Kick was so nerve-wracking that he probably won’t be making another film for the next five to six years.

“That’s because I have no dates available,” Khan quipped, referring to his recently suspended sentence in a hit-and-run case.

Khan, who requires permission from a Mumbai court to leave India, also danced to the songs 'Mashallah' (Ek Tha Tiger) and 'Fevicol Se' (Dabangg 2), and gave a little impromptu performance of the song 'Hangover' from Kick.

Although his last song was in poor taste, his fans lapped it up.

The Dabangg star was greeted by his deafening screams when he waded through the crowd with his swarm of black-suited men to get to his seat. His arrival on foot came as a surprise to many, as Khan was earlier said to be sailing into the awards arena atop a hot air balloon.

“You see that thing behind you?,” he asked the audience prior to his performance. “It was taking me half an hour to climb into that basket and then climbing out. I felt it was a total waste of time”.

Well, if nothing else, it seems his recent brush with jail has taught Khan some consideration for time.
