THE way action has been taken against Shoaib Shiekh and Axact, vested interest and mala fide intent is fairly obvious. Every corrupt organisation should be investigated and punished, but every organisation should also be treated equally and given a chance to defend itself.

If tomorrow a story in The New York Times accuses a local bank of money laundering, I doubt if the government will act as swiftly to put them out of business or the media will go for the kill with the same zeal.
