Three SHOs booked

BADIN: Three SHOs have been booked at the Matli police station on an order of Badin District and Sessions Judge Ghulam Rasool Samoon for allegedly keeping Deedar Mallah, the son of Dr Mirza’s aide Haji Panah Mallah, for 10 days.

The FIR was registered against the SHOs of the Model, Matli and Pangrio police stations.

Deedar Mallah was recovered in a raid on the Matli police station by Matli civil judge Abdul Sattar Khaskheli on the orders of Judge Samoon. It was later transpired that Mr Mallah had been kept at the three police station during his detention period.

Meanwhile, Badin SSP Khalid Mustafa Korai has appointed Inspector Mohammad Akram Rajput as the inquiry officer in the illegal detention case. He is supposed to submit his finding in the Badin district and sessions court on the next date of hearing. The SSP has also transferred the three SHOs from their respective police stations.
