QUETTA: Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four people allegedly involved in the Sunday’s bomb attack on a convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain’s son in a village near the industrial town of Hub.

Salman Mamnoon escaped the attack in the main bazaar area of Hub town when he was returning to Karachi from his farmhouse in Pirkas area. Three people were killed and 15 others injured in the attack.

A spokesman for Frontier Corps Balochistan said that the four men were arrested when security forces launched a search operation in Ramzan Goth after receiving intelligence information.

He said that the arrested men belonged to the banned militant organisation which had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, FC personnel arrested two suspected militants in Dasht area of Kech district who were allegedly involved in attacks on the camps of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).

The personnel seized arms and ammunition from their possession.
