RAWALPINDI, May 25: The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Monday seized 6.9kg heroin and arrested a passenger who was leaving for Colombo via Abu Dhabi at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

The seizure was made when the scanning of baggage of passengers for Eithad Airways flight Ey 234 was in progress at the airport.

On finding the bag suspicious the ASF staff stopped the passenger and during search, the ASF staff recovered the heroin concealed in the cavities of the suitcase.

Later, the accused was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force for further legal action.
