SHIKARPUR: A villager was killed and another one was wounded when they traded fire over animal grazing in the Humayoon Sharif area of Shikarpur district on Monday.

Officials at the Humayoon police station said that Syed Noor Shah had an altercation with Mohammed Ali Sadhayo over animal grazing in the fields. During the heated argument, they took out weapons and fired at each other.

They were taken to the Shikarpur Civil Hospital where Mr Sadhayo succumbed to his bullet wounds and Mr Shah was admitted for treatment.

No case was registered at the Humayoon police station till late in the evening.
