LAHORE: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has decided to run tubewells for 18 hours daily.
“As complaints about water shortage are rising, we will rent generators for the tube wells lacking such facility,” Wasa Managing Director Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad said in a meeting held here on Saturday.
Wasa currently operates 490 tubewells in the city. He urged directors (operations) to check the presence of tube well operators at workplaces.
Wasa vice-chairman Chaudhry Shahbaz Ahmad asked for the quick installation of more tube wells in the areas.
