ISLAMABAD: The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for sharing classified information.

“A formal information sharing arrangement will allow both the agencies to request and receive information in a timely manner, thereby, making the process efficient,” said a CCP spokesman.

The basic purpose of the MoU is to establish a framework for sharing information which would help SECP and the CCP in the discharge of their respective statutory functions.

The MoU was signed by SECP Chairman Zafar Hijazi and CCP Chairperson Vadiyya Khalil.
