Races cancelled

KARACHI: The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has joined the nation to mourn the tragic deaths of the members of Ismaili community at Safoora Chowk on Wednesday by announcing cancellation of Gymkhana race meeting that was scheduled to take place on May 17 (Sunday), A spokesman for the KRC said on Thursday.

“Patron of the club Pir Syed Sibgatullah Shah Rashdi and president MNA Syed Sarduddin Shah Rashdi aka Younus Sain, who is also Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, have expressed deep sorrow and grief on the loss of human lives and cancelled the Sunday’s races,” he added.

He said the races will now be held on May 24 (Sunday).
