LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday sent 22 accused allegedly involved in the Youhanabad lynching incident to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

Earlier, Nishtar Colony police produced the accused before ATC-III judge Haroon Latif.

The counsel for the accused opposed further physical remand of his clients while submitting that police registered a case against them on basis of media reports and camera footage.

Police submitted they had already completed interrogation of the accused and their further physical remand was not required.

The court was informed that pictures of the accused had been verified through laboratory.

At this, the court sent all 22 accused to jail on judicial remand while adjourning the hearing.
