LAHORE: A woman was found murdered at her rented house in Sherakot on Sunday.

Police said Rani, 28, had developed differences with her husband Mansha of Pakpattan and came to Lahore some months ago leaving her two children.

She filed a suit for dissolution of marriage and started living with her younger brother Khalid and an acquaintance, Iqbal, also hailing from Pakpattan, in a rented house at Yousafnagar.

Sherakot SHO Hassan Raza said Iqbal found Rani lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit open in a room of the house and informed police.

Iqbal was taken into custody while the whereabouts of Khalid were not known till the filing of the report on Sunday night.

Police have registered a case against both Khalid and Iqbal on the complaint of Rani’s elder brother Altaf.
