ISTANBUL: Mark Cavendish won the second stage of the Tour of Turkey at Antalya on Monday, retaining the overall lead he took after Sunday’s opening run.

The British speedster covered the 180 kilometres from Alanya in 4 hours 21 minutes and 32 seconds, once again replying on his finishing skills to edge a sprint finish.

Cavendish, who won four stages in last year’s tour, leads the overall standings from Italians Sacha Modolo and Nicola Ruffoni.
