Team Masood triumph

KARACHI: Team Masood mustered 63.36 victory points (VPs) to win Karachi Bridge Association’s weekend Bridge Tournament at Aslam Hall housed here on Sunday night.

Team Masood comprising Ziaullah Baig, Hamed Mohiuddin, Hussain Jaffer, Tanvir Mazahir, Shahin Iqbal and Mohammad Ismail outplayed other competing teams by winning all four matches.

Masood collected 13.15 VPs against Deuces, 20.00 against Kizilbash, 13.18 against Hashim and 16.13 against Foxy.

Team Anis won three out of their four matches to claim second position with a total score of 49.51 VPs.

Foxy (41.60 VPs) took third spot with the regular pairs of A.K. Bhurgri, Mohammad Zubair, Ghaffar Qureshi and M. Azwer-ul-Haque.

In the pair event, in-form duo of Ziaullah Baig and Hamed Mohiuddin recorded the score of 66.07 per cent to seize the contest.

Shahab Khan and Sarfraz finished second with 60.71 per cent and Muqeet-Mushahid pair third (58.63 per cent).
