LAHORE: Three constables were injured in a hand grenade attack on a police checkpoint on Ferozepur Road on Sunday. Police said two unidentified motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade at a checkpoint outside Motor Transport (MT) Workshop on Ferozepur Road where maintenance and repair of police vehicles is carried out.

Constables Rashid, Khalid and Abbas, who were on guard outside the main gate of the workshop were injured and shifted to Services Hospital where they were said to be stable.

Garden Town ASP Ms Shazia told Dawn that the area had been cordoned off and a search operation launched to nab the attackers.
