PTCL profits

Published April 25, 2015

PTCL has been advertising high profits for the past one year, which is ironic as it is making profits worth $800 million on the government of Pakistan. Now that the people have demanded PTCL pay interest or profit share on this overdue payment, it announced more than a 75pc decrease in profit margins in the first three months.

This is strange since PTCL reduced its workforce in 2014, which should, in fact, have reduced its costs and increased its profits.

The FBR and the CCP should look into the matter.
