OWING to the apparent fuel shortage recently in Punjab, every provincial department has been directed to control fuel refineries and filling stations.
But doing so, the DCO, Lahore office, has superseded the authority of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority by dictating its own petrol and diesel rates to filling stations. Now that Ogra is imposing fines on filling stations for posting wrong selling rates, they should first take up the matter with the DCO, Lahore office, and save the public from rolling between Ogra and the DCO office.
