RAWALPINDI: Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI chairman Imran Khan, on Saturday visited different parts of the Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) to see the election campaign of the party candidates.

During her visit to Jhanda Cheechi, Gulistan Colony, Lal Kurti and Kotha Kalan, Ms Khan also inaugurated two election offices of PTI candidates - Dilpazeer Butt and Mohammad Zulfiqar.

She asked the PTI workers to intensify the campaign to win the elections and fulfil the dreams of Imran Khan to put the country on the path of development and prosperity.

However, no announcement was made prior to her visit and even the local leaders and MPAs of the party were not aware of it.

A local leader of the PTI requesting not to be named said the newly-appointed office-bearers wanted to leave the local MPAs out of the loop. Grouping would create a bad image of the party, he added.

When contacted, PTI Punjab north general secretary Zahid Kazmi said it was a surprise visit by Ms Khan to boost the morale of the party workers.

People of the area were mostly informed about her visit, he added.
